The closing ceremony of the first international conference of Dr. Amr Khalifa Al-Nami, amid a large academic presence

In an atmosphere filled with pride in intellectual and national heritage, Nalut University and the Al-Istiqaama Foundation for the Quran and its Sciences concluded the activities of the "First International Conference: Dr. Amr Khalifa Al-Nami.. The Knowledge and Struggle Journey Between Homeland and Exile," this evening, Sunday, June 21, 2026, in the hall of the Mujahid Khalifa bin Askar.

The closing ceremony featured a presentation of the conference outcomes and the scientific recommendations reached by the researchers, which crowned efforts that lasted over three days of extensive scientific and intellectual activity, embodying the esteemed position our late colleague holds in the national and scientific memory.

The closing session witnessed a ceremony honoring and celebrating the efforts of everyone who contributed to the success of this unique event, where: certificates of appreciation were distributed to the organizing committees and the scientific committees that worked diligently to ensure the success of the conference activities.

Certificates of Participation: In appreciation of the outstanding research contributions made by academics and researchers from within Libya and sister countries. 

Awards of Excellence: for the national entities and institutions that provided support and sponsorship, believing in the role of knowledge in reviving national memory and documenting the paths of pioneers.

In a touching gesture of loyalty, the presidency of the Al-Istiqamah Foundation for the Quran and its Sciences honored the family of Dr. Amr Khalifa Al-Nami by granting them "Umrah" for two family members, in appreciation of the late scholar's contributions to the nation and knowledge.

This conference represented a significant scientific milestone, successfully bringing together a select group of researchers from Libya, the Sultanate of Oman, Algeria, Tunisia, and Morocco, to provide an in-depth analysis of the journey of Dr. Amr Khalifa Al-Nami, emphasizing the necessity of continuing to document the intellectual and struggle memory of Libya.

In conclusion of the conference activities, the participants and attendees made a symbolic visit to the home of Dr. Amr Khalifa Al-Nami; this house that has remained a witness to the struggle of the late figure, having been bombed on several occasions by the former regime in an attempt to erase his legacy, now stands as a testament to resilience and the challenge against oppression and injustice.

The University of Nalut extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to everyone who participated, attended, or supported this scientific event, asking the Almighty to make these efforts weigh in the balance of good deeds for all, and that the University of Nalut remains a beacon of knowledge and service to the nation.
