Active participation of Nalut University in the international workshop "Plastic and Human Health"
As part of enhancing academic and research cooperation at both local and international levels, and in response to contemporary environmental and health issues, the international virtual workshop held on the (Zoom) platform concluded today, Thursday, August 6, 2026, under the title:
"Plastic and Human Health"
The workshop witnessed active and distinguished participation from the Director of the Research and Scientific Consulting and Training Center at Nalut University, with the presence and participation of:
- Mr. Director of the International Cooperation Office at Gharian University.
- Mr. Director of the International Cooperation Office at Wadi al-Shati University.
- Mr. Head of the Public Health Department at the College of Medical Technology, Nalut University.
Alongside a select group of international experts and academics from India and the coordinators organizing this event.
The workshop included extensive scientific discussions about the health and environmental risks resulting from the use of plastic materials, and the importance of raising scientific awareness to mitigate their negative effects on human health and the environment.
As a culmination of the success of this workshop, a proposal was made to hold an upcoming virtual workshop at the beginning of the new academic year, in comprehensive coordination between the Research and Scientific Consulting and Training Center at Nalut University and the Public Health Department at the Nalut Medical Technology College, which will be titled:
"Environmentally friendly nanomaterials as an alternative to plastic materials in food packaging"
