Participation of Nalut University in the meeting of the University Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research
As part of the follow-up on academic and administrative files and to enhance communication between the university and the ministry, Professor Adel Suleiman Arafa, Director of the Faculty Members Administration at Nalut University, participated in the meeting held by the University Affairs Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the capital, Tripoli, on Monday (October 5, 2026), with the presence of representatives from 21 Libyan universities.
This participation comes to follow up and discuss a number of important issues that affect the faculty members at the university, which were addressed during the meeting, including the most prominent of these:
Academic workload: Organizing a mechanism for calculating and distributing teaching hours that ensures the rights of faculty members and contributes to the quality of the educational process.
Scientific promotions: Accelerating the procedures and transactions for promotions according to the approved standards and regulations.
Conditions of expatriates: Follow-up on the files of expatriate faculty members and regularization of their status.
Appointments and administrative and financial settlements: working to address outstanding issues and overcome difficulties in accordance with the regulations and laws governing work.
Standardization of procedures: Strengthening coordination mechanisms and direct linkage between the Ministry's University Affairs Department and the University Faculty Affairs Department to ensure smooth processing of transactions.
This meeting is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance the level of academic and administrative performance, and to strengthen the collaborative partnership between the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Libyan universities, ensuring support for faculty members and providing a suitable environment for work and scientific research.
