In embodiment of the commitment of Nalut University to academic development and enhancing its presence in scientific forums, a delegation from the university participated today, Sunday, December 28, 2025, in the national workshop held at Al-Zawiya University under the title:
"Assessment of the Current Situation of Libyan Universities in International Rankings: Between Meeting Standard Requirements and Academic Excellence."
Representing the university at this qualitative event are:
Dr. Saleh Saeed Al-Alawi (Vice President for Academic Affairs at the University).
Dr. Nagy Al-Hadi Aburas (Director of the Research and Scientific Consultations Center at the University)
The workshop, organized in collaboration between the universities of Zawiya and Benghazi, witnessed in-depth discussions about the institutional challenges facing Libyan universities and ways to transition from merely meeting standards to achieving sustainable academic excellence. The participation also focused on exploring mechanisms to build a local classification model that takes into account Libyan specificity and propels our educational institutions towards global recognition.
This participation is part of the university's plan to exchange experiences with counterpart universities and to develop performance measurement tools that serve the quality of educational and research outputs.
