Launch of the preparation work for the First International Conference on Engineering Project Management
With confident steps towards enhancing the knowledge economy and supporting the pillars of reconstruction, Mr. Mohamed Farid Jernaz, the head of the preparatory committee, participated in the first meeting of the organizing committees for the "First International Conference on Engineering Project Management," which was held in the city of Janzour on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
This conference is the result of collaboration between a select group of Libyan educational institutions.

- University of Tripoli.
- College of Engineering Project Management.
Under the slogan
"An integrated vision for sustainable development and reconstruction in the oil, gas, construction, and services sectors"
The meeting witnessed active participation from a select group of academics and specialists who enriched the discussion with their insights:
- Dr. Mohamed Qassem Al-Zughbi – Conference President.
- Dr. Abdulrazak Abdulmajid bin Jaber – Chairman of the Scientific Committee.
- Mr. Mohamed Farid Jurnaz – Chairman of the Preparatory Committee.
- Dr. Abdulhamid Al-Nayed – Member of the Scientific Committee.

Meeting Agenda:
The discussions focused on coordination mechanisms with the sponsoring entities and ways to develop the system for evaluating scientific papers. The scientific committee also confirmed during the meeting that all submitted research and abstracts will undergo a rigorous review process according to the highest academic standards to ensure the quality of the conference's scientific outputs.
The conference aims to enhance the structure of the knowledge economy and link scientific research to the actual development needs, in order to contribute to the development of the engineering project management sector and support reconstruction efforts in Libya.
It is noted that the conference has met all the required standards and has been officially listed in the database of the Libyan Conference Guide platform, under the registration number: DOLC-CONF-2026-0014, which enhances its scientific status both locally and internationally.
