The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research chairs the second meeting of the Supreme Council of Libyan Universities for the year 2026 in the meeting hall of the Nalut Municipal Council.
In a move that reflects the depth of national cooperation among higher education institutions, the second meeting of the Supreme Council of Libyan Universities for the year 2026 commenced this morning, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in the meeting hall of Nalut Municipality, chaired by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Dbeib.
The meeting was attended by high-level participants, including several presidents of Libyan universities from various parts of the country, along with the head of the Libyan Academy for Graduate Studies, and the directors of the departments, offices, and centers affiliated with the ministry.
The convening of this meeting is part of enhancing institutional coordination, monitoring the progress of the educational and research process, and preparing for the new academic year. The meeting discussed a number of academic and administrative files, issues related to the development of higher education, and improving the quality of institutional performance, as well as reviewing current challenges and ways to address them in order to contribute to the advancement of higher education in Libya.
The hosting of this important national event by Nalut University embodies its active role in supporting joint academic work, and it reaffirms its constant commitment to opening avenues for cooperation and unifying efforts in service of the nation and its citizens.
