The regular meeting of the editorial board of the Shros Scientific Journal was held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the headquarters of Nalut University, chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, the editor-in-chief, and attended by the esteemed members of the editorial board and the executive office of the journal.
The meeting was dedicated to discussing a number of organizational and technical topics aimed at enhancing the quality of scientific publishing and advancing the journal towards higher rankings, where the following items were addressed:
• Corrective action plan for (DOAJ): Review submission feedback for the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and proceed with implementing the required technical and professional adjustments.
• Report of the Electronic Guide to Libyan Journals: Discussion of the results of the classification report issued by the Electronic Guide to Libyan Journals (June 2026), and the development of a plan to improve the journal's level to reach higher classification categories.
• Technical and technological updates: Monitoring the development of the journal platform (OJS) and ensuring the digital archiving of all issues.
• New developments in work.
This meeting comes as part of the commitment of Nalut University and the editorial board of the journal to establish standards of scientific rigor, support the research movement at the university, and enhance its academic, local, and international standing.
