The Research and Scientific Consulting Center at Nalut University announces the winners of the title "Best Extra Virgin Olive Oil" for the 2025-2026 season.
In culmination of exceptional scientific efforts, and in an atmosphere filled with pride in national production, the activities of the scientific seminar on "Food Control Mechanisms" concluded today, Saturday, January 31, 2026, with the announcement of the final results of the best olive oil competition in the region.
The participating samples, which numbered 112, underwent a series of precise laboratory analyses and sensory evaluations according to international standards, resulting in the following deserving winners:
• First place: Sample number (UN0025) Mr. / Ziad Khaled Ali Lala (Prize value: 3000 dinars)
• Second place: Sample number (UN0039) Mr. Hamza Hussein Masoud Wargh (Prize value: 1000 dinars)
• Second place (tie): Sample number (UN00111) Mr. Jamal Khalifa Masoud Askar (Prize value: 1000 dinars)
• Third place: Sample number (UN0015) Mr. Waseem Youssef Ahmed Askar (Prize value: 1000 dinars)
