As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's ongoing commitment to monitoring the progress of the educational and administrative process, and to developing the institutional work environment to ensure the enhancement of the quality of higher education outputs and the application of the highest performance standards in educational institutions; and in implementation of the decision of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (778) for the year 2026 regarding the formation of subcommittees to evaluate the performance of the Libyan Academy for Postgraduate Studies and universities, the subcommittee (A) commenced its official duties at Nalut University over the course of Sunday and Monday (September 6-7, 2026).

And the ministerial committee was formed from the gentlemen:

  • Dr. Abdulhakim Al-Mangoush (Chairman)
  • Dr. Abdulrahman Makari (Member)
  • Dr. Ahmed Al-Ma'wal (Member)
  • Dr. Adel Sultan (Member)

Members of the committee were received in his office at the university's headquarters by Dr. Mohamed Masoud Qnan, the university president, in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Farid Jurnaz, the director of the Office of Follow-up and Performance Evaluation at the university. He welcomed them and emphasized the university's commitment to providing all necessary facilities and support to the committee to perform its tasks to the fullest.

Details of the visit and its objectives:

The committee's work plan over the past two days included comprehensive inspection and field tours targeting various departments, offices, and centers affiliated with the university, in addition to the colleges. This was done to assess the levels of academic, administrative, and financial performance at the university and to directly evaluate the extent of compliance with the established quality standards.

These measures come from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as part of its ongoing commitment to monitor the progress of the educational and administrative process, and to develop the institutional work environment in a way that ensures the enhancement of the quality of higher education outputs and the application of the highest performance standards in educational institutions.
