The Honorable Minister of Higher Education inaugurates the central library at Nalut University coinciding with the second meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities.ل
As part of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's interest in university textbooks and support for the academic journey, and on the occasion of the visit of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to the municipality of Nalut, and the hosting of Nalut University for the second meeting of the Supreme Council of Libyan Universities for the year 2026;
His Excellency Minister Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Al-Dbeib opened the central library at Nalut University today, Tuesday, August 4, 2026, in the presence of the university president, the university deputies, several directors of departments and offices at the ministry, the general secretary of Libyan university employees, the president of the General Union of Libyan Students, the esteemed presidents of the participating Libyan universities in the meeting, deans of colleges, and directors of departments, centers, and offices at the university.ق
The library includes modern indexing systems that are based on the latest standards to facilitate access to references, along with a rich scientific collection that exceeds 6,500 titles, totaling 35,000 (thirty-five thousand) books, sources, and theses, in addition to peer-reviewed journals and master's theses, with the ability to search and locate references easily through an integrated electronic system. The library also provides equipped reading rooms that can accommodate 80 students, creating an academic environment and an ideal atmosphere for research and study.ل
This step aims to make the library a key educational support for the teaching process at the university, facilitating access for students and researchers to both print and electronic references, in addition to providing lending and consultation services to all segments of the local community and visitors from various cities and Libyan universities.ق
