In a move that reflects its commitment to improving the quality of education and enhancing international cooperation, Nalut University actively participated in the training week for the Ermonia project, hosted by Istanbul Aydin University in Turkey from May 5 to May 9, 2025. This important event witnessed widespread participation, gathering 13 Libyan partner universities in the project, in addition to the Libyan Academy, along with representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, including the specialized team from the International Cooperation Office, the Libyan Universities Administration, the Quality and Documentation Administration, and the Graduate Studies Administration. The Italian universities of Spienza and Pavia, as well as the host university Istanbul Aydin, were also present. The Ermonia project is supervised by the Union of Mediterranean Universities and funded by the European Union.
The training week was filled with knowledge-based and interactive activities, including numerous lectures and specialized workshops that primarily focused on the Bologna Process, which aims to unify higher education standards in Europe and enhance academic mobility. The training program also addressed quality systems and continuous improvement in educational institutions, with experts from the European Union and Italian and Turkish universities providing valuable insights and successful practical experiences at both local and international levels, allowing participants the opportunity to learn about best practices in improving the educational process.
